Ontario has opened the immigration application for the International Student stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
The recently opened stream gives international students who have a job offer in a skilled occupation at Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC), the opportunity to apply for a nomination from the Ontario to permanently live and work in province.
To be eligible applicants must among other conditions:
- Have a full time permanent job offer in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B. The job offer must be valid at the date they are nominated by OINP.
- Receive a wage higher than the low wage level, for that occupation.
- Received a degree or diploma that takes at least two years to complete if you study on a full-time basis, or a degree, diploma or certificate that takes at least one year to complete if you study on a full-time basis and that requires a completed degree as an admission requirement
- Possess legal status in Canada and intend to live in Ontario.
