Since one week Canada has started issuing invitation for the Parents and Grandparents program 2021.
According to the announcement a total of 30.000 Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be invited until October 7th. Invited applicants have 60 days to submit the completed sponsorship applications to IRCC.
Invitations come by email from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
It is worth mentioning that sponsored parents and grandparents will be granted Canadian permanent residency and will enjoy all the associated benefits including state funded health care.Therefore the application to sponsor parents and grandparents is highly competitive and hundreds of thousands flood the IRCC website since the time of launch.
This year IRCC has also invited 10. 000 sponsors in January. The cap of total invitations in 2021 is not announced.

You must be at least 18 years old, and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or be status First Nations.You must also prove you meet the Minimum Necessary Income to fund your relatives once in Canada by submitting your Canada Revenue Agency notices of assessment for the 2020, 2019, and 2018 tax years.
